Danish-Spanish award-winning dancer and choreographer.
Selenes dance training began when she was four years old and at the age of eleven, she made her first production which was followed by Danish National Television DR1. A few years later, she began teaching and giving workshops. Selene has given workshops in Europe, USA, Asia and has taught dancers from The Royal Danish Ballet, NYC Ballet, and Cirque Du Soleil. Selene has studied at the renowned dance academy Amor de Dios and at The Royal Conservatory of dance in Madrid.
Selene is to this day, the contemporary flamenco artist with a Scandinavian background who has achieved the largest international exposure. She has won awards and scholarships for her avant-garde and personal style, mixing classical lines with modern expression. She has performed at venues such as the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the World Expo in Shanghai, the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid, the Tower of David in Jerusalem, the Royal Danish Theater, Opera House in Denmark, CPH Summerdance at the Copenhagen Police Headquarters, the Louisiana Museum, the Bergen Festival in Norway and the UN’s UNLEASH Award show in Musikhuset Aarhus.
She has performed at the Danish Crown Prince award ceremony, The Prince Henrik of Denmark Gala Dinner, HRH Queen Margrethe’s 75th Anniversary. Selene won the Beat Cancer special edition in Dancing with the stars (Danish version) TV program and most recently premiered her new production 7SENSES which played sold out shows at the Glass Hall at Tivoli.
